Malala Yousafzai became the honorary citizen of Canada, but it was her funny speech that won our hearts
Malala Yousafzai even managed to make Justin Trudeau blush!
Malala Yousafzai is many things. She has been an advocate for education rights for girls, fought against Taliban, and is a Nobel Peace Prize awardee. She is that girl from Pakistan who was shot in the head by militants for raising her voice.
And now this braveheart has received honorary Canadian citizenship. Isn't that amazing? The 19-year-old also gave a very heartfelt address in the Canadian Parliament. However, if you think that her speech was all serious, you are wrong. Yes, Malala actually has a funny side to herself, so much so that it ended up making Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau blush!
While addressing the parliament, she didn't shy away from mentioning Trudeau's tattoos and his yoga abilities, which left everyone in splits.
"We have heard so much about Prime Minister Trudeau but one thing has surprised me: people are always talking about how young he is. They say that he's the second-youngest Prime Minister in Canadian history. He does yoga. He has tattoos. And a lot more," she said.
That's right, in front of all parliamentary dignitaries, she talked about Trudeau's tattoos. In front of everyone. You see, even Malala isn't immune to his charms, or should we say tattoos!

She even went on to talk about how people around her reacted when they heard she was going to meet the Canadian PM.
"When I was coming here, everyone was telling me, like, shake prime minister's hand and let us know how he looks in reality. And people were just so excited about meeting Trudeau. I don't think anyone cared about the Canadian honorary citizenship," she said.
Malala also told the house that she was grateful to be an honorary citizen of this "nation of heroes"--though she would still "require a visa."
While her words made everyone laugh, she also made it a point to talk about how Canada needs to lead the world. She said that girls' education should be a central theme of Canada's G7 presidency in 2018 and that the country should use its influence.
"Canada should use its influence to "fill the global education funding gap" and raise new funds to help girls go to school. And the government should prioritize ensuring that refugees can access post-secondary education," she added.
